Faithfulness

The word "Faithfulness" could be read on the outside of the massive wooden door. The letters were carved from the inside out and they bled into its' fiber. A gentle stream of soft yellow light flowed across the porch and found its' way into the garden, just to the left. Pain and pride were growing there. They were clothed in velvet colors that dripped their nectar onto the soil and they grew richer and more vibrant with time. They drank the rain and waited. Then, under the light of a full moon, they uprooted themselves and violently kicked the door in. They clawed and blistered their presence into uninvited space. Faithfulness shattered to the floor and the letters ran for their lives! Their combined intention was dismantled. Each letter was terrorized into retreat and hid, alone, from the agony that invaded. The letters trembled in their hiding places. As time passed and trespass rummaged through the aftermath, the letters started to miss each other. Courageously and with great intention, they started looking for each other again. The trembling ceased and like magnets in close proximity, their attraction became increasingly intense, until they found each other again. This time, when they lined up, they had new meaning. New purpose. New strength. His strength! And with the fullness of faith and renewed allegiance, they re-combined and re-committed. They straightened their stance and climbed back into their rightful positions. Then Faithfulness simply took a deep breath and whispered, "Let's try this again...."
